IA East Tea House 2025

Tea House, a talent show at IA East that has been running for over 10 years, was just hosted by IAE’s Glee Club, continuing this longstanding tradition. Twenty people total all performed, ranging from singing, violin solos, and vocal duets, all the way to slam poetry, vibrant kazoo duos, and the playing of the exotic Indian instrument The Veena.

The event was run by two founders of Glee Club, Deetya Chengalvala and Almasa Tokovic. It took place on Friday, April 11th, from 3:30-6:00 pm. Glee Club specially wants to thank Ms. Naus, Mr. Griffin, Mrs. Mayes, Mr. McCoy, Mr. Garza, and Jimmy all for helping set up the Tea House.

Dozens of people showed up, from parents of performers, to teachers and other attendees. Staying true to its name, the primary concession at the event was free traditional Indian tea, among other concessions.

Overall, IA’s 2025 Tea House marked a significant milestone in IA history, and it served not only as an event to showcase the talents of brilliant students, but also as a lesson for others to inspire to.
